The Lake District is not only a National Park, but a World Heritage Site too. What a place to enjoy an ecclectic mix of fabulous events and festivals. We have everything from top music events to challenge events, walking festivals to agricultural shows, and so much more. 

Windermere Lake Cruises

Lake Windermere is England’s largest lake and Windermere Lake Cruises offer cruises from 45 minutes to 3 hours. From majestic steamers and wooden launches, traditional rowing boats and self drive motor boats, it is the most popular attraction in Cumbria.

The world of beatrix potter

It’s just a hop, skip and a jump away and is a unique experience for young and old alike. At The World of Beatrix Potter you will experience all 23 of Beatrix Potter’s Tales, brought to life in an indoor creation of the Lake District countryside, complete with sights, sounds and even smells.

Brockhole

Something for everyone, whatever the weather, The Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole boasts a famous adventure playground, interactive exhibitions, fabulous gardens and games lawn, an information desk, great gift shop and family cafe with lakeside grounds and gardens boast stunning views, as well as many unusual trees, plants and shrubs. Open daily with free admission.

Crags Adventures

Crags Adventures are currently rated the No.1 outdoor activity company in the whole of the Lake District and have been for two years. They are a small, family run company.

Kendal Golf Club

The Kendal Race Course Club first saw use in 1891 with the original play over the disused racecourse high above the town adjacent to Scout Scar. Originally, there were 12 holes at the Kendal Golf Course, with 6 being added at a later date.

Blackwell

Blackwell, built between 1898 and 1900 is one of Britains finest houses from the turn of the last century, and is one of the country’s most important examples of Arts and Crafts architecture.

Let's Ride Local rides are guided by friendly British Cycling Ride Leaders along scenic planned routes. With different levels, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re building your confidence or already comfortable on a bike and looking for a challenge.

The Lake District Walker

Since 2002 The Lake District Walker have been providing guided walking days in the Lake District and beyond, with at least one diary walk every day of the year and during the peak season up to five activities per day there is something for everyone on our diary. We also have experienced mountain guides available every day for private guiding.
