In recognition that we all have to do our bit to protect and enhance our Lake District National Park, Hillthwaite House is becoming more environmentally aware and is committed to recycling all our glass, paper, cardboard and hard plastics. We are delighted to have retained our bronze award from the Cumbria Business Environment Network and are now working towards achieving 'silver'. In addition, we've achieved the Cumbria Biodiversity award.

We are also an Associate Member of The Tourism and Conservation Partnership,and are busy fundraising for native red squirrel conservation work throughout Cumbria.
